This Privacy Policy explains what information The Vin Center (operated by GoZip LLC) collects, how we use it, and your choices.

1. What we collect

• Account info: email address and a securely hashed password (we never see or store your actual password).
• Order info: the VIN you look up, and your report history.
• Payment info: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

2. How we use it

We use this information to generate and deliver your reports, manage your account and membership, send you the report and receipt by email, and respond if you contact us for support.

3. Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary information with the vendors that power the Site:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Vehicle history & auction data providers — to generate your report (only the VIN is sent, not your personal info)
• Resend — to deliver transactional emails (report ready, password reset)
• Railway — our hosting provider, which stores the database securely

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

4. Cookies

We use minimal cookies/local storage needed to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.

5. Your choices

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@thevincenter.com. We'll process deletion requests within a reasonable time, except for records we're required to keep for tax/legal purposes.

6. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from minors.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision.
